💡 Photography knowledges

👉  Lighting

Properly lighting a low-key setup will entice your viewers to focus on key points in your scene, and wonder about those dark shadowy areas in the unknown.

👉  Focus

In geometrical optics, a focus, also called an image point, is the point where light rays originating from a point on the object converge.

👉  Exposure

In photography, exposure is the amount of light per unit area reaching a photographic film or electronic image sensor, as determined by shutter speed, lens aperture and scene luminance.

👉  Composition

Good Composition is a key element of good photographs yet is something that is hard to define. Instead of looking at composition as a set of 'rules' to follow, we can view it as a set of ingredients that can be taken out of the pantry at any point and used to make a great 'meal'.

👉  Angle

Different camera angles will give a different experience and sometimes emotion. The different camera angles will have different effects on the viewer and how they perceive the scene that is shot. Sometimes you can dramatically alter your photo composition just changing your perspective.

👉  Scale

Give people a sense of how big or small the product is. By placing the product next to a common everyday object, people can better scale the product.

👉  Varieties

Display different colours, shapes and features when they are key focuses of your advertisement.  This added value can clearly show Product Range to support Brand Image. If you sell 7 flavours of cakes, you may not want to feature just one flavour unless you are running a specific campaign that does require it.

👉  Backdrop

Use your backdrop to complement your product not distract from it. If you’re new to product photography, consider keeping the backdrop as simple and consistent as possible.

👉  Moment

When you feel that something wonderful is about to happen, trust your instinct. Be patient and ready for that magical moment when it all comes together. Resist the temptation to shoot too much or too soon, or you may miss the decisive moment.
